WELCOME TO THE 2021 RECHARTER SEASON!

The 2021 Recharter season officially begins on October 1, 2020 with the opening of the online recharter system.  All Recharter paperwork is due to the Hoosier Trails Council Office by Monday, December 14, 2020.  Everything needed to complete the recharter process is available below.   Recharter access codes will be sent to the Charter Organization Representatives, the Committee Chairs, and the Unit Leaders via e-mail mid-October.  Recharter codes change annually.  Please be sure that we have correct e-mail addresses on file for your unit to assure prompt communications.

The online process remains the same for the 2021 charter year. Membership fees for 2021 are:

$66 for youth members in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venturing  (plus one time $25 Join fee for Scouts new to BSA.)
$42 for adults and youth members in Exploring,
$75 Unit Insurance Liability Fee

If you have members of your unit who fall under any of the categories below, they will need to complete an adult application and youth protection training and will be registered as an UP – Unit Participant.;

A full copy of the recharter roster (NOT the 2 page E-Z summary) and payment MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE COUNCIL OFFICE FOR YOUR RECHARTER TO BE CONSIDERED SUBMITTED AND COMPLETE!!!

Completing only the online portion of the process does not complete your recharter.  Please do NOT pay recharter fees online.  If the charter is paid online, we are not able to make any changes to the charter once you submit.  All paperwork and registration fees should be delivered to the Hoosier Trails Council, BSA, 5625 East State Road 46, Bloomington, IN 47401.  As always, please contact either your District Executive, Unit Commissioner, or our Council Registrar, Holly Barton, with any specific rechartering questions.  We will be happy to assist you.
