Adult Roles in Scouting

How Can You Get Involved?
Scouting units rely on parent participation to run a successful program. Scouting operates through volunteer leadership, so consider volunteering, and become a positive influence in the life of your Scout and his friends.  Some volunteer positions in which you can become involved are:

Den Leader - leads the den at weekly meetings, and monthly pack meetings.

Cubmaster/Assistants - helps plan and carry out the pack program with the help of the pack committee.

Scoutmaster/Assistants - helps plan and carry out troop program with help of troop committeee.

Committee Chairman - presides at all pack committee meetings, and helps recruit adult leaders.

Committee Members - assigned as needed.

Advancement Chairman - Maintains advancement records, orders and obtains all badges, and attends the monthly pack meetings and pack committee meetings.

Secretary or Treasurer - keeps all records for the pack including bank account and financial records.

Trainer - coordinates trainings for adults, promotes leader training and rountable meeting attendance.

Parent Helpers - assist with short-term projects in the den or pack.
